When in situations of stress we wonder if there is anymore to give. We can be comforted to know that God, who knows our capacity perfectly, placed us here to succeed. No one was foreordained to fail. Let us remember that we were measured before and were found equal to our tasks. When we feel overwhelmed, let us recall the assurance that God will not over-program us; he will not press upon us more than we can bear.

Awesome Doctor!

So I had my first doctor's appointment this last week, on Thursday. I have my next one on Wednesday, it's pretty busy. Well since I had such a crazy pregnancy last time, they are keeping a rather close eye on me. I got an ultrasound this first time, and we couldn't see the baby, but we could see the yolk sack. Which is a really good thing. My doctor was just like, "A yolk sack is a very good sign, we like yolk sacks. Yolk sacks-are-us. That's a good title, I should have named my practice that!" I started laughing, while he was giving me the the ultrasound. It was great. But we have an awesome picture of our little yolk sack. We're going to try looking again on Wednesday to see if we can see the baby.
Well before the ultrasound even started, I asked the doctor if I was considered high risk, for medicaid... well he thought for a minute and then said, "Uh not really. But if you started smoking, or doing some marijuana, maybe some crack, then you would be considered high risk." I started laughing! He knows I would never do that, and he's LDS and a very strong member of the church, but his sense of humor is great. It really just calms me down. Before he came in and talked to me, they took my blood pressure, and it was kind of high, but it was because I was just nervous, and the nurse wasn't really helping, but that's fine because my doctor is hilarious!

Hot Husband

Ok so I was at a training the other day for a class, and a girl I sat next to, knew Todd. We were talking for a minute, and then she said, "Yeah Todd is so cute! We are always playing around when he comes to fix my computer, it's fun." Well obviously, I kind of was a little weirded out by that because 1 - she was checking out my husband and 2- what did she mean by playing around. So I kind of talked to Todd about it that night, and he was just like... "who is this?" Well after a little bit, he understood who I was talking about, then he said, "I hardly even talk to her!"
Today, I have a friend that has been in a few of my classes look at the blog, well... she said that he was cute too... where did this come from? Now don't get me wrong, I think Todd is probably the hottest thing on this earth and I love him SO MUCH! But it was really strange to hear from 2 different women that my husband is cute... well I guess I'm just one lucky woman!

President's Day Weekend

This past weekend we went to Richfield for a couple of days. While we were there, we decided to make blankets. On Saturday we made a fleece blanket for me, and one for the baby. The one you see us working on is for me. The baby one is yellow and has a bunch of baby foot prints all over it. It's super cute! Also we found some fleece that had Yoda on it and starwars stuff. We couldn't find a backing for that, but on Monday we found some in Cedar City and I made the blanket for Todd on Monday. We've been sleeping with our blankets, and they are SUPER SUPER SUPER warm. It's great living in a basement in the middle of winter and having fleece blankets!

Valentines Day!

Well we had a good valentines day this year. Every year the show choir at the institute goes around all day and sings to different people. The guys sing to the girls and the girls sing to the guys. Well it's kind of been a tradition with us, since before we were dating to send them to each other. I sent them to Todd while he was at work, I was there to watch... then he sent them to me when I was at work. Well.... I work in a computer lab where people go to study, that was kind of funny. We got off work at the same time yesterday so I made Todd leave for like a half hour so I could get stuff put up for him. I found these cute cards at Wal-mart in the shapes of heart and they said "I love you..." so I put reasons why I loved him in the different cards and put them all over our apartment. Todd LOVES Reese's Peanut butter cups. So I found some packages of Reese's hearts. I put those and a bunch of chocolates all over our bed with two silk roses. With his present too. Which was some cologne.. that smells so good! ( It's Mary Kay high intensity... mmmmmmmmmm) And the shirt he's wearing in the picture. I made dinner and then hid in the apartment. He came home and tried to find me. He was way excited. He gave me some roses and Reese's chocolates ( I told you he liked Reese's). After a candle light dinner, we went to a play on campus. The Philadelphia Story, we left at intermission. It wasn't very good, but it's ok because it was free. Then we came home and went to bed, because we were really tired. We're getting old... lol

So this last Friday I we found out so pretty amazing news. I'm pregnant again. We weren't going to tell anyone for a while, but that didn't really work. That night we went to my brother's house. I didn't even say anything and my sister-in-law asked, or basically told me I was pregnant. She said she could just tell. That was a little weird, until the next morning when I went to a baby shower in Beaver. On the way there, I was driving with two of my good friends down here in Cedar. All of a sudden they started talking about a ton of baby stuff. I couldn't hold it in anymore, so I told them. They said they already knew. They were just trying to get it out of me. I asked them how they knew, and they said that they just knew. WELL I went to the baby shower and after it was over, I had another friend kind of pull me off to the side and asked if I was pregnant again... I couldn't lie to her so I said yes. She said that I had a glow around me. So basically! I obviously can't hide it. Another thing that has been weird about this, in December when we went to California, we visited some old family friends of Todd's while we were there. Well, the father of that family is way into Chi. When he found out about my miscarriage, he told me that he could fix me. I was just like.. uh ok. He's a worthy priesthood holder and very active in the church, so I thought that I could trust him. He sat across the room from me asking me different questions. All the while he was doing something with his hands. Chi is energy. Basically he will go through my body and see how the energy is flowing, if it's wrong, he'll correct it. Well after about 10 minutes or so of him doing stuff across the room, he said I was fixed. I was just like... uh ok... Well, about 20 minutes after that, I went to the bathroom, there was blood everywhere. I wasn't on my period, it was like my system had cleaned itself out. I didn't bleed again after that. Well I've only had one cycle since then, so I guess he did fix me. So just so you know, we're pregnant, and we're really excited. We are pretty nervous about it, but we feel good. I haven't been sick yet, so cross your fingers! But just so you know, since I'm awful at keeping secrets! Also, Katelyn, did you feel your baby sooner than you did with Cambree? Like could you feel her there sooner? Like a lot sooner? Like at 4 weeks? Just curious

My pigeon

This is the room with all of the cages... Each cage has a number and each lab partnership has a different number or cage...
This is my bird, Sam. He's pretty chill compared to the rest of the birds. He's starting to get used to us now, which is kind of nice... and I'm not so freaked out anymore.
This is me... pointing to my bird. I didn't want to pick him up because my partner had just been there and I don't want to screw things up.. but this is the stuff I've been doing.. on the table is a scale with a cage on it... it's the silver bowl like thing.. and yeah.. thats what we put the birds in to weigh them.. it's so fun... uh yeah...

Long Hair

This is how I feel lately. I have until December until I can chop my hair off, but man... I am getting sick of how long it's getting. It's now to the point where it's about 1 1/2 inches from my belt... that's long. I don't really know any styles I can do with it other than down, curly, pony tail, pony tail and braid... and that's about it. I'm not like SUPER good with hair, so I don't really know what to do with this. Does anyone have any ideas of cute hair styles that work with super long hair?
