When in situations of stress we wonder if there is anymore to give. We can be comforted to know that God, who knows our capacity perfectly, placed us here to succeed. No one was foreordained to fail. Let us remember that we were measured before and were found equal to our tasks. When we feel overwhelmed, let us recall the assurance that God will not over-program us; he will not press upon us more than we can bear.

Pregnancy Update

So I went to the doctor yesterday and got checked up. He said that I'm doing great and that I'm basically considered normal now which means I don't have to be COMPLETELY freaked out. I was really happy about it and excited so I just thought you should all know. But that also means I probably won't be going as soon as I thought into labor...

Sleeping... or not

So, my pregnancy is officially becoming very uncomfortable. There are many different things that have made life a little more difficult lately but one major factor is sleeping. I feel like this woman when I sleep, but I can't sleep very well in this position. I'm not a side sleeper. I always have my legs changed around and stuff to get comfortable when I sleep on my side... well I can't do that now because if I do, I feel like my uterus is going to pop... so that doesn't really work. I have been sleeping awful lately no more than two hours at a time and it's miserable. On Friday we went to Costco in St. George and we found two pillows for $13 it was a steal. So we bought them later realizing they are pillows for a king size bed and our bed is a full, HUGE difference. They are super comfortable pillows though and it's given me a chance to use all of our other old pillows to put around me to try to make my life easier and it hasn't really worked. I tried to prop myself up so I could sleep on my back that was a little better but not much. So I was wondering if all you post pregnancy ladies out there had any advice or experiences that I could use to make my life just a little easier and me not so ornery... Poor Todd! Anything is appreciated!

No TV

So the past few weeks our TV has been acting rather strangely but would still work here and there. Well it's gotten so bad now that when you turn it on it makes a funny noise stays on for about 10 seconds and then turns off. This isn't an AWFUL thing but it is something that has been kind of annoying. We don't usually sit and watch TV all day everyday but for instance last night we wanted to watch a movie and couldn't so we had to watch it on our laptop. I also really like to watch the news in the morning while I'm getting ready and eating breakfast because I like to know what's been going on around me. Now that I can't, I've been thoroughly bummed. We also can't play the Wii or the games that we have just bought and well... after spending that much money on something, you'd kind of like to play it...

Back 2 the Singles Ward!

Well about two weeks ago, Todd got a call from one of the stake presidents here in Cedar City. He wanted to talk to both of us later that evening. Todd made a joke that they wanted to talk to me, even though I just laughed and said, why did they ask for you? We went to the interview and of course, it was a calling. He got called as second counselor in the bishopric of the Cedar City University 3rd Ward. This ward is a singles ward. Ya hoo! lol He was sustained and set apart today which meant that we are now officially needing to go to the singles ward instead of the married or family ward. As we sat there waiting for the meeting to start, I looked around at all the singles and I felt so funny being back in that atmosphere. It's so funny! Not to mention, I'm going to be pregnant and sitting by myself in the meetings during sacrament and what not, in a singles ward. People keep telling me I need to flash my wedding ring, only problem with that is my wedding ring really isn't that flashy, so we'll have to see how it goes!
We're excited for the call and know it will be quite the adventure for the next year of our life, not to mention the last year of college and in Cedar City. We will MOST DEFINITELY be missing our married ward and the friends there, but will look forward to the new friends we will make in the upcoming school year. We know this is a calling from the Lord and know that he has sent us here for a reason. Another time I have learned not to plan too far in advance because he always likes to throw a curve ball in there once and a while!

California!

We just got back from our trip. We had a blast! We flew into San Jose on Friday and went to an Egyptian Museum there. It was really cool. They had some gross stuff, but it was very interesting to look at all the fun stuff! Then we went to Salinas and hung out with Todd's sisters there. We visited old friends and ward members there and just enjoyed the weather, which was beautiful! It was about 70 the whole time we were there, sometime colder and it made it VERY difficult to come home. On Sunday we went to church and afterwards had a picnic on the beach in Pleasant Grove. It was a place near where we went on our honeymoon. On Monday we went to Monterey to the warf and enjoyed the scenery there. Afterwards we found an even better beach and just slept on the beach while enjoying the beautiful sand there. We ended the day at Chevy's restaurant and then went to bed. We drove home Tuesday with his sisters April and Rachel and our niece Taylor. Needless to say, the car was full! We had a great time and are now dreading the whole real life thing.

This was posted on Katelyn's blog and I really liked it...

The Memory Post

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you know me a little or a lot, anything you remember! If we're only blogging friends, write about a post that is the most memorable for you.

2. Next, if you feel so inclined, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll be sure to write one about you...!

3. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. ☺ And please do this on your page, too, so we can all share in the fun times together. :)

California here we come!

Tomorrow morning we are flying out to California! This trip was planned pretty quickly but we are so excited for it! We'll be gone for about 6 days, and the whole trip will only cost us like $300. We're flying out there with one way tickets that only cost like $80 each, and then we're driving back with his sister. Her company pays for the gas so the only thing we're going to have to worry about is food and splitting a hotel room with his sisters for one night. The temperature there right now is 77 degrees and that just makes me super excited to go! I got the ok from my doctor this morning and am so excited to get away for a few days!

Wipeout!

So I don't know if any of you have seen this show since it started a few weeks ago, but it's HILARIOUS! Todd and I watched it for the first time last night and we laughed and laughed and laughed! It's at 7 on Tuesdays and we thoroughly enjoyed it! Basically it's just like watching all the falls and bangs you can possibly fit into an hour. I guess people win like $50 thousand dollars if they win, but it's basically way super hard to win. If you get the chance, watch the show!

4th of July

We had a GREAT 4th of July. On the 3rd we drove up to Richfield to spend some good quality time with my parents. On the morning of the 4th we went to the Parade and then to the festivities at the City Park. A tradition of Richfield of course! We saw a lot of old friends and got to catch up with them for a few minutes. It was way fun! Well for me, Todd was a little bored. We then went to the Chidester's to see little Sydney. It was way fun talking to Katelyn and holding a new born baby girl, Todd needed the practice. The rest of the afternoon we just hung out at the house and I took a nap. That evening we drove to Milford to spend time with Todd's family there. We got to see his Grandpa which is always a highlight of Milford for us. We watched the city fireworks there which were fun and exciting. Afterwards we went to a family member's house and lit our own fireworks. After that, the kids brought out the sparklers. The picture is of Todd playing with his sparkler... yes needless to say he did singe a little piece of his hair and we all laughed. I think he had more fun than the little kids. We got home around 12:30 that night very tired after our long day of visiting with friends and celebrating our nation's birthday! I hope you all had a good 4th of July!

She Moves!

This morning I wasn't feeling very well after I took my shower so I went and laid down on our bed. I was laying there and I could see my heart beat on my stomach... kind of a weird feeling. Then I kept watching and I could SEE Lily move! It was so weird! Then Todd came in for a minute and I told him to watch and he was just like... "WHAT WAS THAT?" She was kicking all kinds and moving around. It was so much fun to watch her and it made me think about the day when we get to hold her in our arms, and we're so excited for that! This was my first time actually seeing her move instead of just feeling her, it was very exciting!
