When in situations of stress we wonder if there is anymore to give. We can be comforted to know that God, who knows our capacity perfectly, placed us here to succeed. No one was foreordained to fail. Let us remember that we were measured before and were found equal to our tasks. When we feel overwhelmed, let us recall the assurance that God will not over-program us; he will not press upon us more than we can bear.

Yearbook Pics

We found this awesome website where you can upload a picture of you and then they will put your face into certain yearbook pictures from the 1950s up to 2000. Here are a couple of ours that we thought were awesome! This is what I would look like if I had lived in the 60s and what Todd would have looked like if he lived in the 70s. If you want a good laugh. go do this! It's way fun! www.yearbookyourself.com

33 Weeks!

I am officially 33 weeks now and we went to our first Prenatal Class last night. It was pretty fun! Todd was pretty bored though because he had sat through classes all day long so the last thing he wanted to do was sit in another class... poor guy! I loved it though!

Fours

So this was originally an email I got from Janell, but I decided to make it into a post instead, but I'm weird like that....

Four places that I go to over and over:
School, Church, Home, Wal-mart

Four people who e-mail me often... I'm gonna change that to call...:
Todd, My parents, my sister, Lab assistants....

Four of my favorite places to eat:
Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill, Costa Vida, DQ

Four places I would rather be right now:
In the hospital having a baby, NYC, the beach, in bed

Four people I think will respond:
I don't really care....

Four TV shows I watch over and over:
The Cosby Show, Ellen, Oprah, the news

I guess I might turn this into a tag... so I tag 4 people named Katelyn, Brittany, Lindsey, and hmmmm lets say... Jamie!

I'm SO grateful!

So I was just reading on a friend's blog from our ward and she wrote about someone else here in Cedar City that we know. He was in our singles ward and he has been married for maybe a year and a half. His wife is expecting, in fact she's due within the month, but apparently, he was in a plane crash with his father and another doctor and the doctor's daughter and they all died in the accident. It hit me like a ton of bricks! I can't even imagine that happening to me. I am just praying for his wife and his son that will be coming shortly. What a trying time for them. I am also full of peace because they were sealed in the temple, she will have him again, but she had him for such a short time! This has hit me pretty hard not only because we knew them and were friends but because I am also pregnant and I can't even imagine what I would do if I lost Todd today. It makes me so grateful for the blessings that our Heavenly Father has given us! It amazes me how hard life can be at times but how important it is to stay close to our Heavenly Father because he knows what we need and his works are most important. Our friend's name was Dallin Ellsworth and his wife is Kamber and they are definitely in our prayers. They are great people and there is some reason why Heavenly Father needs Dallin now and that is more important than what is here on earth.

This totally puts into perspective what our priorities should be! I am so grateful for my beautiful family and for the love and friendships I have that surround me every day! I can't help but thank my Heavenly Father for the hardships that he has given me and what I have learned from them but to also thank him for the great and wonderful things he has given me either! I challenge all of you to go and kneel down now and thank your Heavenly Father for what he has blessed you with even if your kids are screaming or your so upset with a family member, at least they are here and you can hug them and love them!

The Hiding Place

So yesterday we received our next movie on our netflix list. It was The Hiding Place. Neither Todd nor I had seen the movie, but it seemed like it would be a good pick. It's an older movie, I think it was made in the 70s but wow, what a great movie! It's about a family in the Netherlands during WWII. They are true Christians! They aren't Jews obviously but they decide that it's not right to just throw them to the way side, so they start taking Jews into their home. The father of the family even wears the Jewish Star because he says if you're going to wear one, I'm going to wear one! Well, I won't ruin the movie for you, but if you haven't seen the film, I STRONGLY suggest you do! The message presented is amazing and I can't even begin to contemplate the faith they had during the hard times! One member of the family was still alive when they made the film and so she gives a little message at the end, I went away from watching it with a whole new perspective on life and felt like I could do a WHOLE lot better with my faith and lifestyle!

worries and thoughts as a new time of year approaches

So school is starting soon, and it's such a strange feeling that I'm not going back. This is the first time in 15 years that I haven't gone back to school in the fall. I don't know how to take it! I know that I'll be going back in January and that helps a little, but mostly, I'm kind of in limbo. Lily isn't here yet and won't be for another month or so. I talked to my boss and he's so awesome I'm going to be getting the maximum I can get while school is in session. In fact, I've been working on the schedule and it's such a pain. So many people want so many different things and it's hard to give them all what they want! It's kind of funny because my boss has kind of given me a lot of responsibility in the job. I got to help hire people and interview. With that though I had to tell people that we didn't hire them or that we couldn't interview them, a hard thing to do! Do any of you have any ideas of what I can do as in hobbies or crafts. I'm not good at crafty things. I try to scrapbook, but I really have no creativity. I want to make maybe a baby blanket or something, but I have PLENTY of blankets, and I don't know how motivated I would be to get it done. I don't have a sewing machine or room for a quilt so I'm kind of at a loss... if you have any ideas let me know!

Fiddler on the Roof!

Last night, Todd and I had the opportunity to go see Fiddler on the Roof at the Shakespearean Festival here in Cedar City. It was AMAZING! I haven't actually seen the play in action since my freshman year in high school when I was performing in it. Can I just say how fun that was?! It was the first time that I've gone to see a play that I performed in. It was great! The cast was fantastic and they had great talent. The man who played Tevye was so good! It was fun because I saw a few people who actually attend SUU in the cast so it was a little exciting that way. We got the tickets for free from my awesomely grate-like-cheese friend, Stephanie Argyle! She is working for the festival this summer and gave us to two tickets and the seats were FANTASTIC! Thanks so much Stephanie! They were so good we were surrounded by rich old people. I felt important! If you get the chance to come see a play down here, I highly suggest Fiddler as an option!

The DELICIOUS food! Oh goodness it was good!
The one game we played.. hehe
Family that was there! They are so much fun! Some of my favorite cousins-in-law! ;)
Me opening presents... it was great! Thanks everyone for coming to the shower and for all the gifts that you gave! Thanks Ashley, Emily, and Jesse for the awesome shower! I really appreciate it and it made me super excited for her to come! Too excited, because these next 10 weeks might just take a lot longer than I thought. If you haven't gotten the information, my shower that was scheduled for the 16th, this Saturday has been postponed. It'll happen sometime after she gets here. We're both way excited for her to come now that we have all the pink and frilly stuff!

Two Years Ago This Day!

Today is our 2nd Anniversary! I can't believe how the time has flown! It has been the greatest two years of my life! Since I never went on a mission I can honestly say that! Here are some pictures from that perfect day!Off into the sunset together!
Our Classy Picture
Awwww
This picture is just to show why I love this man! He can always make me smile and be playful, even on our wedding day! Hehe!
I love him!
This shows our true feelings! I mean really who was expecting anything less? That day was so wonderful and life has just escalated from there!

Todd I love you so much and I am so happy that you're mine for eternity! You are a wonderful provider and a great husband! I know you'll be an awesome Dad! Thanks for all the fun and for the help when I've needed it! You're my best friend and you always will be! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY BABE!

Our Fun Weekend

This past weekend we went to the SLC area for a number of things... but friday night we decided we were much needed for a date. Since our Anniversary was coming up, we decided it would be our "celebratory" weekend.
We went to dinner at the Macaroni Grill. It was FABULOUS! We went in and had an awesome waiter. I ordered Parmesan Chicken and Todd ordered a pizza. The waiter was busy and accidentally entered in the wrong pizza for him so we got two free pizzas. We got three dinners for the price of one! It was great and we didn't even need a coupon!
Afterwards we decided we wanted to go to a place where we've never been before. We decided to go to Boondocks in Draper. It was SO MUCH FUN! We went miniature golfing and I totally beat Todd by four strokes heheh! If I wasn't so pregnant and uncomfortable we would have done a lot more so we decided we're going back after Lily comes!

Saturday we went to Ogden right after we went to Barns and Noble and bought Breaking Dawn. We first went with my brother Eli and his family and some in-laws out by willard bay and let their dogs run around. It was fun, a little hot but still fun! We then went to this Italian ice place that had really good treats! Thanks Eli and Colleen for showing us that place! After that we went to visit a friend in Ogden that Todd knows from Salinas and we had lunch from them. After that we had to get back to Pleasant Grove for a reunion. Todd's old ward from Salinas was having a reunion with all of those people who have moved to Utah. I was fun for me to meet many different people I had heard of buy hadn't met. They were all a lot of fun! It was a fun filled weekend and it was great to see so many people we hadn't seen in a while. Thanks Rachel and Rhonda for the great presents and fabulous dinner yesterday!
