When in situations of stress we wonder if there is anymore to give. We can be comforted to know that God, who knows our capacity perfectly, placed us here to succeed. No one was foreordained to fail. Let us remember that we were measured before and were found equal to our tasks. When we feel overwhelmed, let us recall the assurance that God will not over-program us; he will not press upon us more than we can bear.

The Half Marathon... in honor of Lisa! ;)

4 of us from my ward ran the Bryce Canyon Half Marathon this year and it was so much fun!  These ladies did an amazing job and it was great to have some support on such a big day!
I was pretty much SUPER exhausted after the race as you can tell, but I did a great first time of 2 hours and 13 min.  I was only 3 minutes off my super big goal of 2:10.  I would love to do another one day, but probably not this year... we'll see!  Next up... CEDAR EXPRESS RELAY!  Way excited for that race!

July 4th

We went to Richfield this year, the parade definitely delivered!
 The spoils!
The girls with their candy... they were heaven!
 CHEESE!
The girls with Papa Fordham!  He was happy to have visitors!
Later that night, Reese was starving... she ate THREE hotdogs, yes you ready that right THREE!!!!!  She was happy after dinner though!  :)
A few days later, we introduced Reese to corn on the cob, she LOVED it!

The past couple of months...

At the beginning of June we found out that Todd's mom has Stage 4 Cancer.  They don't know what kind of cancer it is, they just know that it is growing fast.  She has been in and out of hospitals and it has been a tough couple of months, but with that comes good things!  We have had a lot of family time!  We learned it is very hard to entertain small children in a hospital room....

...But they tire out easily and cuddle a lot!
We have learned to appreciate all that life has to give!
Our patio was finally finished and we have been loving it and BBQing a lot too!
 Tons of cousin time!
We got to go see Collin Raye for free!  :)  ( Thank you again Brittany!)
Then we got to meet Collin Raye!  Super cool guy!
He even hugged our niece which was super sweet!

Got to play music with each other and feel of the spirit with the family!
We got to go to Zion Nation Park and hike around a little bit!

Rhonda was able to be with her siblings for the first time in 30+ years!  Which also included Todd and his family actually meeting his aunts and uncles for the first time!

We appreciate any kind of time outside where we get to relax and have fun!
 Todd made a big mistake....
So instead he started supporting his mom...  :)
And then she had to push him around in the wheel chair... :)

With each big trial like this, you learn to really appreciate the things you took for granted before.  Any kind of laughter or joy is completely hungered for!  It has taught me how to love those which was hard to love previously.  It has taught me that our Heavenly Father is in control and he has a master plan for all of us.  We are to learn something from these hard times, and what I have learned is priceless and I can't even begin to describe how it has changed me!  I know that he takes care of us.  This has brought Todd and I as a couple closer together as we grieve and grow together.  We lean on one another and together we rely on our Savior to get us through this!  This has been some of the hardest times of my life, but what is being changed and progressed, is far beyond measurable!  Please keep our family in your prayers, but know that we are trying to hang our heads high and get through this still in tact!
