When in situations of stress we wonder if there is anymore to give. We can be comforted to know that God, who knows our capacity perfectly, placed us here to succeed. No one was foreordained to fail. Let us remember that we were measured before and were found equal to our tasks. When we feel overwhelmed, let us recall the assurance that God will not over-program us; he will not press upon us more than we can bear.

Blessings

So the past few weeks, Todd and I have been sitting down and figuring out our finances and what not with the new baby coming and what not. Well needless to say, what we were making, and how much money we needed didn't really match up. The gap between the two was HUGE! I have been pretty worried about it, knowing that it would work out but just trying to figure out how we can make it work. This weekend I got an email from someone at the school saying that I had a "refund check" waiting for me at the school. I really had no idea what they were talking about, so I was going to pick it up. They called me again today to remind me that the check was waiting for me. I went to pick it up, and it was for $1000! I couldn't believe it! I was so happy and excited and the first thing I thought of was, I'm so glad we've been paying our tithing! Blessings really do come when they are most needed! So I would like to now publicly thank my Heavenly Father for the peace and comfort he gives me daily!

Pregnancy Update

Ok so I know this isn't the best quality of pictures, but it's the best I can get for now... WELL! I had two different appointments this week to check my cervix and Lily out. We went in on Tuesday and had an ultrasound of her and my cervix. She got so BIG! It used to be that they could get all of her in one shot, not so much anymore! The technician had to keep moving because she could only get like half of her in one spot... it was awesome! Except, Lily was sucking her thumb... that is something we need to correct as soon as she gets out! lol It was adorable. This picture was a favorite of mine and Todd's, but Todd stole it and it is now hanging up in his office, so I had to go in and just take a picture of the picture until he gives her up! So I went in today and had a prenatal check up and another ultrasound just to look at my cervix. It is now 35mm so it's taken 5 weeks for it to shorten 7mm. That's a little worrisome for me, but my doctor said it was nothing to worry about. I trust him so I'm trying not to worry. Another thing that we have a problem with is I'm dilating. Not a lot, but there is a little canal of fluid going all the way through my cervix. He just told me to keep taking it easy and not to overdo myself. He feels that we'll be ok but I just need to keep being monitored. The next time I see him is in 2 weeks and I hope that goes really well because it's the day before we leave for California, and if he tells me I can't travel, I'm going to be a little upset!

The Manti Pageant

On Saturday night we went to the Manti Pageant. It was so much fun! We left early because we wanted to go to the Turkey BBQ which was amazingly yummy! We got to Manti around 6ish and then just played around. It was fun because we saw A LOT of people there that we didn't even know were coming. First off, we ran into a bunch of people from our ward and had them come sit by us, then we saw Miranda and her husband Trevor. We talked to them for a minute. After that when we took our seats, we saw Jaci (Matthews) Stephens and Jessica (Matthews) Rigby. It was crazy to see so many people that I didn't even know were going. We didn't want to drive all the way home that night so we drove as far as Richfield and crashed at my parents and got up early and drove home for church. It was way fun! It was Todd's first time going to the pageant and he enjoyed it. As a side note... during the pageant when they were showing when Joseph was going to the different churches to figure out which one was right, it shows him talking to one group that was talking about how we didn't need baptism and by faith alone we can be saved... well after they said that in the pageant the bunch of protesters that were outside of the temple cheered! I laughed so hard I thought I was going to fall of my chair! It was great! The temple shortly before the pageant!
I have another picture like this, but I didn't have to stuff my shirt this time!
I like this picture with Moroni in the front and the temple in the back, Todd was a good sport for posing!
We were just so excited! Sorry the quality isn't that great... but the lighting was awful!

Our Fun Weekend

This past weekend was a pretty funny one for us! We started out Friday night with a BBQ in our backyard with some friends of ours. We had dutch oven chicken and potatoes with some creamies and dreamcicles. Yes those pictures are of our AWESOME backyard and we love it so much! Pretty sweet yeah? Saturday night, we had a "Mexican Night" with some other friends with a good amount of Wii playing. It was a blast. There we had great food consisting of chicken chimichangas and homemade salsa and guacamole. Here we have pictures of us with sombreros on (and you can see just how big my pregnant belly really is) along with playing some dodge ball on the Wii. We had a great weekend and we're up for another one coming up soon!

Baby Kicking

So Lily has been going nuts in my stomach and it's been a blast! Yet when Todd comes around, she has completely stopped kicking, FINALLY last night he was able to feel her kick! He was just like "Whoa she can kick that hard?!" I started laughing and was just like.. that wasn't even that hard of a kick... Plus I LOVE this picture and the fact that you can see the baby's toes and everything! So awesome! (It's not my stomach... I wish my stomach looked this nice)

Quick New Apartment

OK so I know I said I would do this a while ago, but my apartment has either been dirty, or I keep forgetting. So instead this morning, after we woke up late, I said forget it we'll just take the pictures and post them. So they aren't the best quality and some are very blurry, if you'd like better pictures, let me know! Our front room! This is the first thing you see when you walk into our apartment!
Our kitchen, Todd's a blur because we were late for work.. hehe
Our Beloved Washer and Dryer! My favorite part of the apartment!
Our Bathroom, that's not our curtain, and I don't like it so if anyone wants it.. I just need to go get our other one first... But yeah I know this isn't the best view but it was hard to get a good view of the bathroom...
And our blurry bedroom.. yeah we woke up almost an hour late this morning, so that's why the bed isn't made or anything.. I could do a lot better with the bedroom! Sorry!

22 Weeks!

Here I am, this morning at 22 weeks officially! I don't really feel like I'm getting all that much bigger, but I could be wrong, let me know what you think!

Utah Summer Games Opening Ceremonies

So last night was the Utah Summer Games Opening Ceremonies. It is so much fun! For real! We've gone the past three years and have loved it every time. They always bring down the Jazz Bear and all the other mascots from the state and they have some other cool group or something. It's way fun! Well last night they had the "Golden Girls" group come and perform. They are a bunch of old ladies from like Orem who dance and stuff, it's awesome! And the big performance was Colin Raye. Now we got these tickets for free so we were pretty excited to go and participate in the activities. The flash was really bright but we were pretty excited to be there!
The Fireworks! Lily was bombarded with a lot of loud music and fireworks last night, and needless to say, I think it freaked her out a bit! She was jumping a lot and I got kicked.. A LOT last night.
This his Collin Raye with the crowd, there really wasn't anyone over where we were standing so we got some pretty good views of him performing.
He moves a lot, it's hard to get a good picture of him but he was a great performer even though we had to leave early because I was about to die I was so tired!

Fishing

Saturday was free fishing day and Todd and I went out with some friends to a near by reservoir. Needless to say, since it was free fishing day, there were a lot of people out fishing. So we couldn't really get a good spot to fish, so there was a lot of moss and a lot of lost hooks from all the snags we got... so it wasn't the best experience I've had fishing but we still had some fun. Todd had never gone fishing before so he was finally able to go out and get the idea of what rural life really is like. This was him acting like he was catching a fish... we didn't catch any.. oh well
This was me with the couple's little girl! Her name is Joslyn and sometimes we're friends, and other times, she's not especially happy to see me. That day we were friends! Lol it's not the best picture but my friend Emily took the picture and then sent it to me on my phone...
After tonight I'll have all the pictures up from our apartment! I promise!

Our New Apartment

Ok so we're officially moved into our new apartment, and I tried to do the whole make a video of our place like Brittany did, but there is something wrong with our camera I believe because it wasn't working so well! SO! It's in the works and hopefully I can maybe get something up very soon! So just wait with anticipation!
