When in situations of stress we wonder if there is anymore to give. We can be comforted to know that God, who knows our capacity perfectly, placed us here to succeed. No one was foreordained to fail. Let us remember that we were measured before and were found equal to our tasks. When we feel overwhelmed, let us recall the assurance that God will not over-program us; he will not press upon us more than we can bear.

Spontaneous trip to CA

This past week we just decided to go to CA with Todd's sister (who lives there) while Todd had time off work. It was SO much fun! We did a lot of things that I have never done there before, such as hiking in the mountains, biked the monterey pier, went to Carmel Beach (yes it is a white sandy beach at the end of a long road full of ridiculously rich people), and Todd and I even got to go on a date and went through a mirror maze... very confusing. We got to see some friends but most of all, we got a lot of much needed family time and much needed Husband Wife time... Maybe some day we'll live there, but we'll have to see if that ever happens. If it were our choice, we would probably already live there!
