When in situations of stress we wonder if there is anymore to give. We can be comforted to know that God, who knows our capacity perfectly, placed us here to succeed. No one was foreordained to fail. Let us remember that we were measured before and were found equal to our tasks. When we feel overwhelmed, let us recall the assurance that God will not over-program us; he will not press upon us more than we can bear.

Spring Break

So Spring Break has been rather interesting. It has been BEAUTIFUL weather. I have absolutely loved it! It almost feels like summer and that makes me incredibly happy. This week was also the first time I was away from Todd. It was hard. We were only away from each other for only like 40 hours too. It was horrible. I think we're a little attached to each other but I missed him a lot! Other than that fact, the week has been pretty good. I quilted a lot and had fun with my mom.

Big ol' hair!

Ok so I was walking to work today on campus, and there was a girl in front of me, and she tried to poof her hair up in the back, and by that time of day, it had become just this nasty ball of gross hair! Seriously, she just had this tangled ball of hair on the back of her head. I guess I don't understand that hair style. If you even want to call it that. Why try to poof up your hair buy knotting it up to a big gross hairball?! I seriously just think that's disgusting! I guess I've always had thick hair and it's always been poofy, so I'm not a give fan of it. Can some one please explain this "fashion sense" to me?

Richfield for spring break!

Hey all you bloggers that are my friends that I like to talk to often! I'm going to be in Richfield for part of spring break because my mom needs some help quilting! Boy am I excited! lol jk. Anyway! I'm going to be there from maybe the 11th or 12th to the 14th maybe longer. It depends how I'm feeling at that point. But that bad part is, I'm going to be husbandless... but! If you're going to be in Richfield, let me know because I would love to see any of you when I'm there! Anyway... just let me know and then let the partying begin!

Clean Flicks movies

So this past year, Todd and I have been renting movies from clean flicks here in cedar city. It's been great because we rent PG-13s and even PGs that we didn't like to watch because of a few bad scenes. So we have been renting the edited movies. Well, unfortunately they are going out of business because of lawsuits due to copyright laws or whatever. Well, since they are going out of business, they are selling all of their movies. Well we went online and found out if you buy over 20 movies, they are only $8 each. So yeah.. we went crazy. We ended up buying 35 movies that are edited that we figured we probably wouldn't be able to see again, with out being offended in some way. So if any of you would like to come over and watch a movie, in about a month, we'll have plenty of good clean choices for you to choose from!

Mononucleosis

Ok so there are about 2-3 people that I know of right now that have mono... or mononucleosis if you want to be technical. And I was wondering what the deal is about that. Well I looked it up and found out that it is passed on by saliva or mucus, it gives you symptoms like the flu or what not and it never goes away! So if you get it once, you will always have mono, but the symptoms just go away. Isn't that crazy? I feel kind of bad for these people because there is a girl in my ward who has mono and she can't kiss her husband at all. That's absolutely nuts to me! I wouldn't be able to do that, I would just say, well that's too bad, kiss me anyway! She is DEFINITELY a very strong woman. So those of you out there that have someone you like to kiss a lot, be careful of mono, because it's out there and it will haunt you!

Sweet Jumpin'

So on Friday Todd and I had to sing the national anthem for the gymnastics meet. We decided to stay and watch the meet because we really didn't have anything else to do. We were going against Utah State University and so I thought it was pretty cool because that's a local college. Basically it was way awesome and we did really good, and we kicked their trash, sorry girls! But yeah, SUU has an awesome Gymnastics program and we have even beaten BYU, so that's really cool! GO SUU!

Ugly Betty

I think this girl is so cool because she's really actually gorgeous and she plays this not so gorgeous girl on a show... that's pretty hard to do.. anyway! I haven't posted anything for a while so here is something to look at!

Awesome Apron

Every Thursday, Todd and I go to the Episcopalian church in Cedar City because they feed any student for free. They are a bunch of really nice ladies who just want to feed people. It's really good food too. Tonight, we went there and one of the ladies was wearing an apron. On it, it read, "Have You Hugged An Episcopalian Today?" It was awesome! We decided we need to make an apron that reads, "Have you hugged a Mormon Today?" I think it would be absolutely wonderful! The people there are amazing though, and very very sweet. It's like seeing your grandma once a week and her trying to stuff you completely food with really good food. I love it! If they do that in your community, you should definitely participate and get to know people outside of your faith. It's completely worth it and very much fun!

I hate feeling like trash!

So earlier this week, I was feeling just fine. It was weird though, because as I would walk outside or whatever, it would feel like my lungs were burning, because of the cold air. I don't really know what happened, but it flat out hit me yesterday. I spent yesterday afternoon sleeping and watching TV. I couldn't even hardly get out of bed. So I asked if Todd could give me a blessing. He called someone from the ward and they gave me a blessing. I was struggling. Part of the reason, was all of a sudden, my back started to hurt so bad! Like, I couldn't move. Seriously, I couldn't even sit up. Todd had to help me so much last night and I feel bad but yeah. It was so bad that I just sat in bed and cried because it hurt so bad. So finally after the longest night of my life, I fell asleep. I woke up this morning feeling about the same. My back still hurts and I am trying to tough it out in school, even though I have no energy and it feels like someone is banging on my spine. I hope this passes soon! (Sorry that I'm complaining... well if I was really sorry I probably wouldn't have written this.... hmmm)

Where I come from

I found some interesting pictures on the internet. These are all the pictures of places that I have lived at some point in my life. This is La Mesa, California. This is where I was born and lived for about two years.
Then we moved to Lyman, Utah. This is the store that my family owned. In this picture, it was run down and basically an apartment for missionaries at this point. This was after we had sold it and were no longer owning it. The little building off to the side of it is the post office. That's right, that little tiny wing was the post office. Weird huh?
This is Richfield Main Street. This is where I spent my high school years. That was good times, but rather strange. Hehe
This is main street Cedar City. This is where I met the love of my life. We are so happy and have been spending the first year of our marriage here. I love SUU here as well. It is an awesome college with many possibilities. Even though I like this place now, I do NOT want to live here my whole life. As soon as we graduate, we're headed off to bigger and better places!

Little Late

I know that this is SUPER late, but this was our honeymoon, good times! Enjoy! They are after the Fishers! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH That place was cool.
This was outside of a restraunt named Bubba Gump Shrimp. If you don't recognize it, it's Forest Gump. Todd totally looks like Tom Hanks.
This was our car the morning after we were married. This is what we had to look forward to.
We found this awesome beach, and this was us out there watching the sun go down, it was awesome!

Todd as a little kid

So yeah, Todd and I were going through all their family pictures and such, and we came upon this super cute pictures of him and his two sisters when they were very young. He's such a stud! Rachel is on the left and April is on the right. Rachel is only a year older than April and April and Todd share the same birthday only a year apart as well. (Rachel actually introduced us) So basically they are a pretty close family. I just thought this was adorable so I just thought I would share.

New Artist

Ok so I was watching Oprah yesterday on my hour break before I had to go to work. Anyway, and this girl named Corinne Bailey Rae was on the show. She sang a song and I absolutely loved it! It was really good! I want her CD but we just can't afford it right now. She sounds a lot like Norah Jones. Basically, I love it! So if you can get your hands on her record or music, DO IT!

Wow

So today I had to work at 6 AM in the labs. When I went outside to go to work, there was snow on our front step. That means there is a lot of snow at the top of the stairs because we hardly ever get snow to actually stay on the steps. ANYWAY! I started heading for work, boy was that fun. I had to basically shovel to find my car and get it going. I would usually walk, but there was so much snow that my ankles were already freezing from just walking to my car. As I drove to work, I almost got stuck but my wonderful driving techniques saved me from horrible embarrassment. hehe. ANYWAY! As I was walking on campus to work, I realized how gorgeous it was to watch the falling snow in different lights. I couldn't believe it, it took my breath away. I found this picture online, but as I was walking, it was so peaceful. There was no one on campus and it was just gorgeous. Unfortunately I didn't really have a good time to watch it fully because I was late to work and I needed to get there as soon as I possibly could. The cool part was, they hadn't put the salt on the sidewalks yet, so I was "walking" down a hill and I just started sliding. Basically, I was snowboarding to work, except I was only wearing shoes. It was a fabulous morning and I'm happy that I got to experience it, except for that fact that it was 5:50 AM....

Getting into Shape

So this past week, we went to St. George to visit with my brother and his family with my mom. His wife is a personal trainer, it's a little intimidating. We were visiting and one of the first things she asked me was, "Are you still going to the gym in Cedar?" With shame I had to answer no. So she started talking to me about some programs I could start working on. I'm not quite sure what I'm going to be doing yet but believe it or not, I'm really trying to accomplish this. I've been cutting down on eating and I basically can only eat from the list of things that she gave me. But it's weird, I feel way healthy and like I have a lot more energy than I have ever had. I feel like I've slacked a little bit on a couple of work outs, but hopefully I'll be doing better as time goes on. So maybe the next time you'll see me, I'll be in a size 2 pants and a small t-shirt... lol yeah right, but hopefully I'll feel better and maybe even look better!

Mad TV- Stuart- Mommy's work

This is way funny. I couldn't resist posting it up! So here is Stuart, if you haven't ever seen it!

We were having fun!

This was on Christmas Day before, the play time! It was right after we had open presents and looked all grungy and stuff. It was fun! Our first Christmas together. AWWWWW. Heheh. It was a really great day and I wouldn't have it any other way. New Years was pretty fun too. New Years eve we had some old married friends over and played lots of different games. It was fun, but we didn't get any pictures. Sorry!

Christmas Day play times

For Christmas, Brayley got a dress up set. She was playing with us, and we decided to get Todd to look pretty nice. Jaymeon was having fun with him too. It was a good time! Todd has never looked better. I liked watching him play with the kids though. He's very cute with them. I like watching him play cars with Jay too. It was a successful Christmas!
