Update

Just an update on the pregnancy, we went to the doctor today. He wanted to check my cervix because it was a little soft on Wednesday. Well the way he explained it to me, is it should be like a piece of wood and mine is like Jello. That is a little worrisome because that means that we could have a pre-term labor and won't be able to take our baby home. So we now have to go into the doctor every week so he can keep an eye on my cervix so it won't open. If it looks like that is going to happen, we're going to have to put a stitch in it. I probably would have preferred doing that in the first place, but the doctors decided that it would be better for me to come in once a week to be checked. So just keep us in your prayers that we will be able to bring our baby girl home.

Belly Picture

So this is me at 19 weeks. I can't suck in any more and my stomach is hard and I didn't even have to do any sit ups! ;) I officially can't fit into any of my non-pregnancy clothes any more.

Woo Hoo

So this weekend we went camping with my family in Wayne County and something great happened! I'm still pregnant! The last time we went camping was the night we lost Gibson. I was way excited to go because I wanted to make sure it just wasn't because we were camping. It was all fine and dandy! It was my family's family reunion this weekend and each year we have an auction where we bring things that we made and we auction it off for money for future reunions. I bought some burp clothes and receiving blankets and they are really cute! I have a belly picture for you guys but I forgot our camera, I'll post it tomorrow.

New Ultrasound

Today we went to the really big ultrasound. We got to record it and they gave us a disc with a ton of pictures of her. It was so fun! She was moving a lot and she was kicking.. a lot! It was great to see her so active and moving!

This is a profile view of her. You can see her spine and her little nose and mouth. She had her arms above her head the whole time... and that's kind of how I sleep so I think that's how she's going to sleep too! Her legs were straight out too so she was just trying to stretch so she could show off how big she's getting! ;)
This is a 3-D view of her. You can see her arm up. When the doctor had this view up, she turned towards the "camera" it was so cute!
This is her little hand! She was waving at us.. it was so adorable! it was awesome that she could get such a great shot of her little fingers though!
She has a very steady heart beat which is a great peace of mind for us! She's doing really well and is very healthy! We're excited to see even more of her!

Middle Name Tag

So my friend Tagged me and now I guess I want to do this... The point is to put your middle name and then for each letter, tell something about yourself. My middle name is a strange one that no one can every pronounce right.. it's Marlyn. And no it's not like the fish!

M-Movie goer! I LOVE movies. I look forward to them all the time! We have netflix and I LOVE to look at our movie cue and decide what I want to watch next. Whenever a movie comes out that I loved I have to buy it and it drives Todd NUTS! I love all sorts of movies from fantasy to romance. My favorite movies are Disney movies such as, The Emperor's New Groove and Enchanted.

A-Anal! I can be very anal about a lot of different things. I like things the way I like them and it can really bug me when someone changes things up on me. It's been something that I've really had to work on since I've been married and it can make things very difficult to say the least. It's a very good thing that Todd is so mellow and just takes it for what it is.

R-rigorous eater! I love food.. I love lots of food! It's a definite weakness of mine. I could eat a lot of food when I'm not pregnant and if I could afford it. It sometimes gets me down now that I'm pregnant that I can't eat as much as I used to, but then again, I've lost 15 pounds... so I'm not complaining! My favorite foods are the fatty ones... Italian and Mexican. I absolutely love the Olive Garden and many different Mexican food places. I love sweets as well! If I could eat chocolate cake all day every day... I probably would. My favorite cereal of the moment would have to be waffle crisp and I really love home grilled hamburgers. I think it's time for a barbecue...

L-Lover of babies... and Todd! ;) Ever since I've realized that it's time in my life that I can have kids, I can't get enough of them. It's kind of sad because a lot of times, the babies don't like me which makes me worry a little bit when I'm carrying one in my belly, but I'm sure it'll be ok! I love to go to church on Sunday and sit behind a family with a little toddler or baby. They are so fun to play with and so cute and cuddly. It's only gotten worse since Todd and I were married and his love for children has rubbed on to me. I love sitting with Todd and holding a baby and dreaming of our up and coming bundle of joy. Todd is so wonderful and I honestly couldn't ask for a better husband in the whole world!

Y-young. I have always been younger than all of my friends and people that I hang out with. I have always been teased about how young I am and how young I was for getting married and yatta yatta yatta... I've heard it all. It has always really bugged me, because I can't do anything about the fact that I'm young. I guess I'm just mature for my age!

N-news watcher. Every morning when I wake up, I turn on the news to listen to while I'm getting ready. I have to know what is going on in our world! I love watching and being updated on the crazy people out there and what I should watch out for. My favorite news station is the morning news "2 News" team. They are so funny and they just make me laugh. Their special interest guy, Casey, is my favorite. I think he's one of the funniest people out there! I enjoy his wit. I also love to read up on the news when I've been at work for a really long time and have nothing to do! I find it interesting to be more informed of those around me...

Our Baby Girl

So I finally got around to scanning these pictures in so you guys can see them! This is from the ultrasound we had the other day, on the 20th we'll have a lot more!This is her face, obviously from the front...
Her face again, but her little hand is up by her mouth... kind of like she's posing for the picture, she's totally going to be one of those girls... lol and her other hand is to the left of her, you can barely see it...
And this is her little foot! She was kicking me all kinds and I've been able to feel her a lot now... well mostly when I'm laying down and since all day yesterday I was laying down reading a book... I felt her A LOT! Actually at one point I was pushing on my belly and I felt a little foot kick me so that was basically awesome! It's starting to get way fun now! We're actually going to bring this baby home which is crazy... I'm not ready yet.. ha ha! Good thing I have a few more months to prepare myself...

The Mighty Hair Cut!

So yesterday I got my hair cut. We ended up cuttinG 16 inches off, which was awesome! I documented it so you can enjoy the experience as well! ;) Just so you know, some of the pictures are a little blurry because our camera is really touchy and my sister-In-law couldn't keep it still.. lol, but you get the idea.

Todd was really tired last night, but he liked it. It's a little lighter than I had imagined, but I still really like it. It took me all yesterday to get used to it though, it still kind of freaks me out a little, but it's SUPER easy to do, and I don't clobber Todd with my hair anymore! Oh and by the way, there is a little hint through-out the post telling you what we're having! ;)

Happy News

So Friday, was the day in which we lost Gibson according to my pregnancy. Yet it was a very uneventful night for us! I was freaking out the whole night and had complete attention on the area in which the baby resides. I woke up Saturday morning and was way excited that nothing happened! So good news, I'm still pregnant and actually farther along than I ever have been before. Tomorrow we have an appointment to get an ultrasound to look at my cervix to make sure everything is OK and that no bad things are happening, even though my cervix wasn't even open last time, but I'm OK with that, because it's just a precaution. We may be able to look at the baby too and see what's going on there. Then I'm going to drive down to St. George to my brother's house and his wife is going to cut all my hair off.. YAY!!!!!!!!!! Oh wait.. you weren't supposed to see that.. well I'll have pictures no worries!

Lack of sleep!

So the past two nights I've pulled graves, and currently I'm in the middle of a 12 hour shift. I only have 3 more hours to go, which is a great thing! But needless to say, I'm basically super tired! I'm ready to get back to normal sleep! I feel like I can't even function right now. Sleep is very important... I am getting prepared for when our little one comes a long, then I will probably a lot worse than I am right now, good times! I can't wait!!!!!! Oh fyi about that, we find out officially on the 20th if we're having a boy or girl, I honestly can't wait! It's gonna be good! yay!

My sweet husband!

This past weekend, I went to Boise for a conference of Psychology. I was gone from Thursday morning til Sunday afternoon. When I got home, this was waiting for me along with a bunch of sweet signs posted all around our apartment! I love my husband! Speaking of apartment, we just found an apartment in cedar that is $375 a month including utilities and it has hook-ups! We are stoked! It's still only one bedroom, but Todd went and looked at it and said that we could easily fit a baby in there, I'm going to go check today just to make sure! I'm so stinking excited!

Conference Weekend

So, I've been a pretty big slacker the past little while, school has been kicking my trash and actually I really shouldn't be doing this right now because I have a paper due tomorrow that I haven't even started... ANYWAY! Conference weekend we tried to go to conference but our stake didn't even RECEIVE any tickets so we basically had to do stand by.. which sucked! Anyway we stayed at the hilton up there in downtown SLC. We had a blast. Todd thought it was pretty up scale... It was so upscale, this liter of water cost $6.00 psh

The line was starting to wrap up... if you notice that sign in the upper right... it says Mormons love Jesus. There were two old ladies holding it up and they were standing right in front of some preacher man yelling his point of view to all of the crowd, but they were kind of distracting from him, it was great! Needless, to say, we didn't get it, and who knows if I'll EVER get to go to conference, it probably won't been for at least a couple of years until I do, how sad!

April Fools Day

So yesterday was April Fools Day. I got it bad, really bad! Yesterday morning at like 8:00 my sister called and her voice was really serious and very quiet, and she said that she was getting back together with her ex-husband Denis. I know that my face lost all of it's color. I asked her why she felt that way and she's just like, "It just feels right!" And then she's just like, APRIL FOOLS! It was the MEANEST thing she could have done. If I could put my hand through the phone I would have strangled her! So mean!

This weekend

This weekend we went to Milford to visit Todd's family. His cousin blessed her baby this weekend and his other cousins from Idaho came down as well. There were a few that I had never met before, and some that I had met on our wedding day, and needless to say I really didn't get to know them at all! I had a BLAST! His family is probably the funniest people I've met in a really long time. For example, we were talking about the movie I am Legend and all of a sudden his cousin turned to his other cousin and opened his mouth really wide and made the noise that the zombies do on the movie. It was so funny! He seriously looked just like the zombie guys, I really wished I could have gotten a picture with them. Anyway, they reminded me of all my old friends from high school and it was nice to just hang out. We even did kind of a Denny's run type of thing. There isn't a Denny's there but there is a little diner like Denny's, so we went there at like 11:30 at night, because the next day was Sunday and some of us were pretty tired. I had so much fun, I'm seriously thinking about taking a trip to Idaho this summer to visit them.... And no, this picture isn't of them but I hate putting posts up with out pictures... Maybe I can get some pictures from Todd's mom and then I'll post them up. I'll let you know!

Baby news!

ok, so earlier this week we went to the doctor, and got our 4th ultrasound! Yeah... that's only with this pregnancy, that's not counting with Gibson... Anyway! They did an ultrasound because when they tried with the little sonar thingy or whatever it couldn't pick up the heart beat. I know that happens a lot, in fact it happened with Gibson too, but I was still a little freaked out. So then they did an ultrasound just to make sure the baby was ok. It was 3.44 CM long and I could see the arms and legs. It's adorable and the heartbeat was strong and great! I was pretty excited about it! The awkward thing was that Merica Utley now Nelson or however you spell her name... was my nurse. yeah, that's not awkward to get a vaginal ultrasound with her in the room... yeah right!

7 things I'm thinking about

Well this is from Janell... so here we go. 1- I'm thinking about the first dream I ever had about having a baby. That was last night and I'm getting kind of excited about that. 2- I'm thinking about the papers I should be writing instead of hanging out on here. 3- I'm thinking about all the stuff I have to do today, including fixing our car's window...stress. 4- I'm thinking about the good time I had last night with our friends and having the easter dinner that was delicious! 5- I love my friends, I'm so blessed. 6 - I love my husband! He is such a dream and has helped me out so much! He's such a strength to me. 7- I honestly wish it was summer, and I was so sick anymore...

Documentaries

For my film class, I have to watch a bunch of documentaries. It's been pretty interesting. It started with Planet Earth and now it's moved to different Michael Moore films. I watched Sicko yesterday, and watching things like that I leave feeling that the United States is really screwed up, but it's good for me to talk to other people that share the same views as I do to get me straight... It's been interesting to watching the different films though. I watched a movie about birth this week as well, since it is Spring Break and I have nothing else better to do. I am now officially really nervous to go through with birth. I really don't want to have a C-section and I don't want the epidural to slow the whole process down. Since my luck with pregnancy hasn't been the best so far, I'm hoping the delivery will be a lot more smoother. We'll see!

Speedtest

The Pigeon is Successful!

For my class with the pigeon, we have to put them in little boxes like this called a "Skinner Box" and kind of train them to do certain things our professor tells us to do. Well our lab that we've been working on for a week is trying to get the pigeon to peck a disk, such as this pigeon is doing in the picture. Well, 5 hours later we finally got it to do what we needed it to do! We were basically so excited when it finally pecked the disc. There were some people that it only took them 28 minutes from the beginning to the end of the lab, yeah it took us 5 hours because we were all doing something different. It ended up that we had to go into another room and watch the bird from a two way mirror so he would actually do stuff. It was pretty exciting to know that we actually taught the bird to peck a disk. We were so happy!

What's up with my body?!

Ok, so this weekend has been quite the roller coaster. I have no idea what is going on with me. On Saturday we went to the temple because Todd's little brother was going through for the first time. We enjoyed our time there and then went to lunch at this awesome restaurant named Samauri 21 it's a hibachi grill and it's in St. George, I love it! After that we went to Cosco to get some of their awesome muffins. WELL.... while we were walking around there, I kind of felt like I was bleeding, but just kind of put it off thinking that I was just over analyzing things. Well we went home and I had to go to the bathroom really bad. When I went, there was blood all over. I started crying thinking that I was having a miscarriage. I put a pad on and then waited. I wasn't having any cramping really and I was expecting that... well there was some tissue that had come out as well that looked about the size our baby would have been. I figured I had passed it and that I was no longer pregnant. I spent the rest of the night sitting on our couch at my mother-in-law's house and watching Heroes. Well the next morning I still felt sick... as in pregnant sick... I still haven't had any cramps... So I told Todd to go ahead and go to church, but I wasn't feeling well and so I stayed home and watched Father of the Bride. He came home after Sacrament meeting to see if I was ok. I called my friend who had had TWO miscarriages, to see what her experience was, because I was still feeling pregnant. She just said that she had cramped really badly and that after it was done, all the pregnant symptoms were gone. So I have no idea what's going on with me. The reason I was so sick yesterday was because the night before I figured I wasn't pregnant anymore and so I didn't take my pills. Well, I was dying with a really bad stomach ache, I felt like I could throw up all day. I only did once, only because Todd kept me from walking to the Bathroom. So I'm going to call my doctor today and see what's going on. I'm completely confused with what's going on with me body! Any ideas?
